The Visual Arts Department at the Barbara Ingram School for the Arts offers students a strong foundation in the visual arts. The curriculum covers both traditional media—such as drawing, painting, ceramics, sculpture, printmaking, and photography—and contemporary forms like digital and mixed media. It strikes a balance between acquiring technical skills and developing concepts, with a focus on art history, design and aesthetics. Students will create a personalized artistic portfolio, preparing them for further education or a professional career in the arts.
